“Rebecca was commissioned by the Institute for Cultural Practices, University of Manchester, to develop an embroidery design concept for the MA Heritage Studies. Rebecca did much more than that.

The MA highlights and examines the tangible and intangible manifestations of cultural, built and natural heritage. Rebecca's embroidery, through an inspired design and exquisite craft, managed to capture and express the identity and values of the MA and Institute in a way that no other means of publicity were able to do. Rebecca was able to turn the materiality of the stitch into a three dimensional storytelling medium.

The final artwork has become not just a representation but also a creative manifestation and embodiment of the MA’s scope and aims; indeed a piece of heritage itself"
